ATTENTION PIANO TEACHERS and STUDENTS:
You are invited to the 3rd annual Halloween Play-a-thon, a “Spooktacular” fundraising event sponsored by LCMTA to provide a scholarship for a McNeese Piano Major.

All Lake Charles and surrounding area music teachers and their students are invited to participate in the LCMTA Halloween Spooktacular Play-a-thon fundraiser! Costumes and Halloween music are welcome. No memorization needed! This is an opportunity for a non-competitive performance experience where students can wear costumes, play the music selection of their choice and have fun!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPATION:
The fee to participate is $10 per student plus three dozen cookies per studio to share at the reception table. If you have more than 10 students, please add more cookies. Jessica will be happy to supply home-baked cookies for $13 per dozen through her company, KookieNow by Jess.
Teachers may email the Play-a-thon chairs, Jessica Dupuis or Carla Breaux, with the total performance time required for their studio. Total performance time per student should not exceed 2 minutes.
Teachers will receive their studio’s approximate play-a-thon time via email no later than October 20, 2023. We ask that each teacher collect the registration fees from their students and submit 1 check to Carla Breaux made out to Lake Charles Music Teachers Association by October 13, 2023. Please write “Halloween Play-a-thon” on the memo line.
